Meet Alexandra Turner
"I am a believer in life's magical moments. It is my mission to tell your love story through movement, texture, color, curated details and untamed florals."
"I was born in South America, daughter of a Spanish mother and Italian father. As an Interior Designer, I have a passion for finding beauty in old and forgotten pieces. I am drawn to timeless beauty and exquisite details. I am driven by romance and the beauty of untamed florals."
As a floral designer and stylist, Alexandra continually invests in her floral art. "Having the opportunity to do what I love for a living, at times, leaves me speechless; bringing beautiful moments to fruition is a treasured reward. We are story tellers. Let us create something exquisite together and inspire each other to build breathtaking memories that speaks to who you are."
She has studied under expert floral designers in the United States and her work has been featured in many printed and online publications including 100 Layer Cake, Ruffled, Grey Likes Weddings, Brides, Brides of Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, The South Social Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Weddings, and many others.
My affinity for exquisite flowers and exotic gardens began at an early age. I spent my childhood moving around South America where I found myself emersed in the beauty of the outdoors. While traveling gave me the opportunity to see the most amazing places, not having roots sometimes made things a little lonely. To offset that, my mom created a special ritual to help us find the beauty in our nomad lifestyle. In each new place we lived, she would take us to gather branches and other natural elements to create a bird’s nest.
A nest acts as a temporary home for mother birds to lay eggs in. The interesting thing is that they never reuse the same nest, so in their lifetime they will create dozens. During our travels, my family created many of our own nests, which came to symbolize new beginnings for us.
Even as an adult, they still hold a special place in my heart. I not only honored our tradition in the name of my company, but carry it on by gifting each of my bride's with one of their own. I hope that each nest brings a little good luck and happiness to these couples, just like it did for me.
