We love to work with seasonal, novelty blooms. Whether we are selecting blooms and foliage's from a local nursery, from a farm in California, or even from the finest growers in Japan, Holland and South America we strive to create something unique and beautiful for our clients.
Our floral compositions are created with intention; designed with placement, spacing, color, and movement in mind. When it comes to weddings, fresh flowers evoke a feeling of life, beauty, and emotion. We also incorporate our mindfully curated vessels, candle holders, and styling pieces to add that final touch necessary to take a wedding from pretty to truly personal and special.
I am a florist and an event stylist, but more accurately, a believer in life's magical moments. My heart skips a beat for dusty and rusty vintage pieces, unique surprises, beautiful blooms and all things creative. I love al fresco dining, the flicker of candlelight, morning dew and small gatherings around the table.
I was born in South America daughter of a Spanish mother and Italian father. As an Interior Designer, I have a passion for finding beauty in old and forgotten pieces. Rusty, distressed, chipped yet beautiful and timeless. I am my happiest when I am coordinating gatherings, styling for spaces and photo shoots and designing beautiful events.
"My floral arrangements and event styling are inspired by my European heritage and tradition an old world charm, fine art, European architecture, and antiques" I also love to use organically grown unique flowers, berries and one's in while I use herbs in my floral design"
As a lifelong learner, Alexandra continually invests in her floral art. She has studied under expert floral designers in the United States and her work has been featured in many printed and online publications including 100 Layer Cake, Ruffled, Grey Likes Weddings, Brides, Brides of Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, The South Social Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Weddings, and many others.
My affinity for exquisite flowers and exotic gardens began at an early age. I spent my childhood moving around South America where I found myself emersed in the beauty of the outdoors. While traveling gave me the opportunity to see the most amazing places, not having roots sometimes made things a little lonely. To offset that, my mom created a special ritual to help us find the beauty in our nomad lifestyle. In each new place we lived, she would take us to gather branches and other natural elements to create a bird’s nest.
A nest acts as a temporary home for mother birds to lay eggs in. The interesting thing is that they never reuse the same nest, so in their lifetime they will create dozens. During our travels, my family created many of our own nests, which came to symbolize new beginnings for us.
Even as an adult, they still hold a special place in my heart. I not only honored our tradition in the name of my company, but carry it on by gifting each of my bride's with one of their own. I hope that each nest brings a little good luck and happiness to these couples, just like it did for me.
